Health Alert By CDC On Cases of Hepatitis In Children
Everyone falls sick, but when it comes to children, we need to be extra cautious. The health alert by CDC about Hepatitis in children is certainly a cause for concern.
The health alert by CDC requests parents and providers of
health facilities to monitor symptoms in children and report
hepatitis cases in children, specially those cases which do
not have any associated cause to the local and state health
departments.
From last year, there have been around nine cases of
Hepatitis in children, found in Alabama, where a cause was
not found for the illness. Similar group infections were
found in different countries, including United Kingdom,
Ireland, Spain, and Scotland.
In Alabama, the children with Hepatitis are facing problems
like, liver failure and liver injury. Health officials are
still searching for factors that are causing Hepatitis in
children.
