If you want to maintain your health then having a good
balanced diet is necessary. If we do not take a balanced
diet, then what happens is that we become susceptible to
diseases ranging from cancer to other diseases.
Good health can be maintained. When our diet includes
different food items with less of sugars, salt, and
saturated fats, we are able to maintain balanced diet as
required. The health risk we face can be analyzed by the

vitamin deficiency, skin problems, and digestion problems
every year. These are some of the risk we face because of
nutrient deficiency.
A balanced diet should have food items that fall in five
groups. The food should be a combination of calories, fiber,
minerals, and vitamins. The food groups that should be part
of a balanced diet include vegetables, fruits, grains, dairy
products, proteins, and oils. It is better to limit food
intake that contains saturated fats, sugars, and sodium. It
is also a known fact that out of 10 causes of death in U.S.
4 are linked to diet, such as Type 2 diabetes, cancer,
stroke, and heart diseases. Apart from health, diet is also
linked to our mood. For example people may face fatigue and
depression symptoms more when their food has higher Glycemic
content. So you will have to understand what is good food
and what is bad food. To make the right decision, healthy
food would be a good balance of all the nutrients that the
body needs.
